For years, emergency management personnel have struggled with receiving timely weather warnings from a dedicated and reliable source.
The warnings were sometimes late, sometimes false, and worst of all, sometimes not received. Dispatch Centers and EOC's can become extremely busy during emergency situations, and warning system activation can be accidentally overlooked or delayed.
These problems lead to the question: When do we activate our sirens, pagers, or emergency action plan?
The key ingredient in the Storm Sentry Weather Monitoring System is software that interprets and understands weather data. The Storm Sentry has revolutionized the emergency notification market by making weather / emergency notification easier, faster, and best of all, AUTOMATIC.
Take all the information from the National Weather Service and put it in one place: your office, dispatch center, or EOC. Best of all, do all this for one small cost; no monthly or yearly contracts. A one time purchase of the hardware and software buys the user a lifetime of weather security.
The Storm Sentry features the most advanced siren control software ever developed. The Storm Sentry responds to real-time threats, and can even respond differently to specific threats against the community, like Destructive Severe Thunderstorms, Observed Tornadoes, and Tornado Emergencies. It can be programmed to react to different wind speeds, hail sizes, and even keywords within warnings. The system can automatically test your sirens on pre-determined test days, and send reminders and alerts via text.
Our competitors rely on their own cloud hosting networks or 3rd party servers that are prone to downtime, delays, or shutdowns. Not with Storm Sentry: you get your weather information directly from the source: the National Weather Service's Emergency Manager Weather Information Network (EMWIN).
With Sentry Siren's Sky-Sentry Satellite link, and 5 independent data feeds into the Storm Sentry Siren Control Program, the system will activate your warning sirens in less than 30 seconds from warning issuance, on average.
Storm Sentry can be interfaced with a myriad of environmental sensors provided by Sentry Siren. It can take in water level readings for flooding, smoke/thermal sensors for fire, and wind speed/direction and rainfall rates to provide real-time weather data and information directly on the map, and can activate sirens & issue warnings based on pre-defined triggers.

The SiraTrol Controller is virtually the most versatile warning siren controller available on the market.
Designed and manufactured in Missouri, the SiraTrol is designed to work with standard or custom paging formats like DTMF or Two-Tone Sequential over a variety of communication pathways such as VHF, UHF, 800MHZ, DMR, NexEdge, or P25 Land Mobile Radio. Additional communication pathways can be utilized over Cellular, IP, VOIP, or discrete contact inputs.
The standard SiraTrol model is the SCB-1. This is known as a "One-Way" siren controller. Meaning, the controller simply receives a signal and activates based upon a preprogrammed sequence, but provides no status feedback to the user.
Each controller has the ability to be seamlessly upgraded to the SCB-2. This unit supports "Two-Way" Report-Back Status Communications. This means that when purchased along with an SCB-3 Base Station, you can view the status of each siren or device via a variety of sensors. You can upgrade to the Two-Way at a later time without the need to replace the entire controller! See more on the Two-Way system in the section below!
The SiraTrol Controller system is a Multi-Format Siren Controller. The SCB, or “Siren Control Board” is a comprised of a combination processor/relay board which provides for modular and economic repair of the controller. The Controller features a USB-Type C Connector that allows the unit to be programmed via the SiraTrol® Programming software.
The standard RF Transceiver, typically a Maxon Data Radio, is programmed separately.
The SCB can be powered from either 24VDC, 120VAC, or 240VAC.
The system features 4, individually programmable 20 Amp Form-C Relay Outputs that can be programmed with up to 8 timing functions per relay. Each relay, or group of relays, can be activated from any combination of the above described communication pathways.
Relay #4 automatically engages upon a detected power failure, and can be used to engage UPS systems, start generators, or transfer siren operation to battery backup..
The SCB has a 3 Amp, 24VDC output for powering optional accessories, such as contactors and magnetic door locks.
The SCB has four dry contact inputs, which can be configured for several different applications. On the One-Way Model, these inputs will start Functions 1-3, with input #4 reserved for cancel. On the Two-Way Report-Back Controller, these inputs are used for intrusion & sensor monitoring.
There are 5 On-Board buttons for local activation. A display screen also shows all relevant input and voltage data, as well as currently decoded tones and DTMF strings.

Ease of use.
Our SiraTrol® Two-Way siren control system offers the convenience of remote monitoring. The system is polled daily at a time of your choice to ensure your siren system is ready to operate at all times.
Feedback you can trust.
During a live, audible test, the controller automatically checks all aspects of siren operation, such as Sound Output, AC Voltage, Battery Voltage, Rotation, and Current. Unlike our competitors, we don't rely solely on current and other electronic signals to verify your siren worked - our controller actually listens for it. The controller can also transmit the audio being heard inside the siren control cabinet over radio so you can actually listen to the siren remotely. Commands can be sent to siren sites globally, locally, or through the SiraTrol SCB-3 base station encoder, which enables full control of your siren system, even during a computer failure.
Built-In-Redundancy.
All SiraTrol systems feature an automatic command-repeat that ensures the signal reached all of your siren sites.
Selective Commands.
Our base station software offers the ability to configure up to 8 hotkeys of your choice. Once a hotkey is selected, the user can select from a set of pre-defined groups, or zones, providing selective control of your siren system. Each siren can also be selected individually, and activated for a period of time that the user can select.
Secure.
All commands to-and-from the siren controllers and the base station are time-encrypted and stamped. Each command received is also recorded on the siren control unit via a micro-SD card. This protects the siren system from being accessed and hacked by a malicious party. Each controller also features an intrusion circuit. When connected to all cabinets on the siren unit, it will provide an immediate and audible alarm at the base station signifying the siren has been tampered with, protecting your community from vandalism and battery theft.
